| Check this out:  It is a visual guide of batteries. It will tell you if your battery can be soft modded. A note on the Battery that uses AAA's: it says the serial resets to all zeroes. When this happens, it turns into an autoboot battery. This won't do anything except cause your PSP to automatically boot up when you insert the battery. | My friends 280 didn't work for a hard mod but then his other 280 worked for the soft mod. | |

| Well it looks like there's two 280's. One with the SONY logo and one without. My 280 has the SONY logo and it works. | |

This is for specific batteries that one would buy. Slim batteries all vary based on the mobo. There's a guide to hackability that I've even linked to in the Original Post. | |
