There are the following rules to be respected in this forum.

As you guys know, this section has been called for a name change. It is now called the "Off Topic" section. Too many of you took the "Anything Goes" section too literally.

Here goes the rules:
1.
No advertising. If we see it, we will lock it or delete the thread.

2.
No overuse in cursing. We all cuss, but don't overdo it please, just makes you look stupid.

3.
No piracy talk. If I see links up, the person who posted them will get a permanent ban, no warning. If I see converstaions going, I will lock the thread and give a warning. No threads like: "Can someone PM a good ISO site". I will probably temp. ban you and give a warning with a locked thread.

4.
This has been RE-NAMED. No more pointless threads. If I see a constant creation of pointless threads, I will begin temp. banning people. Just use some common sence. Think before you post.

5. Do not post inappropriate things, including pornography.

6. Do not make any "This is my ____ post!" threads in this section. This is not what the section is for, and furthermore, no one cares about your post count. Stop making them.

7. No Spamming. This is much like 4, but this applies to all posts and all sections collectively. Any one word posts, or posts that have no meaning in the conversation will be deleted. The first offense you will be let off with a warning, provided the offense was small. The second offense can bring a 1-2 day ban. The third offense will be a week. The fourth may either be a one month ban, or a perma ban. It depends on your history, and the moderator. It has not been decided yet, but it is possible that in the future if you get banned for spamming, your rank image will get changed to "Spammer" for up to a week after the ban is lifted.

8. No multi-posting. This means no double posting, triple posting, etc. There is an edit button for a reason. Edit your first post. This may be taken lightly, especially for new users, or first time offenders. However repeat offenses will follow a similar banning as spamming.

9. No bumping or reviving old threads. This is along the same lines as multi-posting. Do not bump old threads, especially if you were the last poster. This is considered spamming, and if you were the last poster, it is also double/multi posting. Don't do it. There is one important exception. That is guides. If you have posted a guide, and it was not stickied but you feel it is still an important guide, sometimes you may bump the thread. This is a privilege, don't abuse it, or it will be revoked. Do not bump old, or out of date guides. A good time to bump is after an update. You may post a reply announcing the update AFTER the first post has been edited with the update.

10.No pornography, you get one warning then week ban then permanent. We have users and mods under 18 this is non negotiable...

So as far as content are we going to go the pspmod way, it gets pretty crazy there and its not a bad thing. also the piracy thing might need to be a little looser, the apps used for modding homebrew etc. are often used for piracy as well. EX: iso buster, legaly you can have software backups of things as long as you have a phisical copy i.e. umds but you can easily just copy the iso and thats piracy. so if i link somebody to a place that has ripping programs, chances are they will also be handing out ISOs. you can see my dilema, obviously posts that ask about "where can i find.." are asking for deletion but there is a grey area "how can i rip umds"

I think ripping umd's guides are ok, the intent of that is for you to have a backup of your umd, what people do with these rips is up to them.

Ripping guides are okay, just simply no downloads.

And no uploading the ripped ISO. Or at least, I don't want to see anything about uploading an ISO, or posting a link to an ISO you uploaded.
