| I was editing flash0 and made a backup. I didn't want to keep the changes, so I restored the backup. However, when I restored the backup, I restored the entire flash0, which meant replacing all the files with the backup ones; including recovery.prx. As I now realize, that is what causes full bricks, and I feel stupid for not taking that into consideration when restoring my flash0. So, my only course of action is a Pandora battery set, and reinstalling CFW. So, this means buying a JigKick battery, since I don't want to hardmod another one. Anyone recommend a good site? A cheap one please, as I'm planning on buying a brand new GoW PSP and don't want to spend much. I want a place with fast delivery, good pricing, and preferably a Pandora that can boot as a normal one, too (I don't want to dish out money for a Pandora and get something I'll use just once). I'll also need an MMS, or some way to connect my MS to the computer to install the MMS (USB SD adaptor). My last option is to get the GoW PSP first and install CFW on that, then use PSPTool to create a Pandora and MMS for my phat. However, I'll still need a JigKick Battery at some point.
Anyway, there is good news on this. Since I'm essentially reinstalling CFW, this will give me the chance to test out new MMS installation methods. Since I first installed CFW when 3.71 was the main CFW, my MMS creator is pretty out of date now; so, I will be using a new method which should give me a good understanding of it for my guide. I'll also end up reinstalling 1.50 kernel and LEDA, so that's some more stuff to add to my guide. However, this also means that my guide will be postponed until I get my GoW PSP.
Last thing. It's been so long since I installed CFW, so I don't remember the size requirements for Memory Sticks. I know it needs to be under 4GB. But since all of my games and stuff are on my 2GB Memory Stick, and I gave my 1GB away, all I've got left is a 256MB. I was wondering, is this too small? I thought I remembered something about 500MB minimum, but when I googled it, I saw some evidence that 256MB would work, so anyone care to help me out? I guess if it's too small, I'll get a 4GB; I was planning on getting one, just not this soon, unless 256 is too small.
Anyway, that's about it. I'll be deprived of a PSP until I get my GoW, and my guide will be coming out later, too. However, I still plan to come on here as well as pspmod once a day to check up with you guys.

| Ok, If you are willing to wait!!!! Dealextreme has pandora batterys for like $6.39 it took me 20 days to receive mine but I did and it works. There is a hybrid one with blue led's that goes as a normal and pandora. | |

| Thanks, I checked it out. I may end up hardmodding the GoW one, but it's been so long since I did, and I don't want to fuck it up. And on top of that, I fel like the restoration method to get it back to a standard battery is kind of messy, and I don't like using it. So I will probably go with buying it. I may go with dealextreme, as I will probably not get my GoW PSP for around the same time. We'll see. I know one pspmod user had this link to one site that had a hybrid battery and a MMS together for a good deal, but I don't see that on dealextreme.
OK, so I I found a couple different batteries. Why is the 1200 mAh more sxpensive than the 1800? And then there's another 1800 for more? Anyway, here's links, help me pick one out:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.22349 http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.22350 http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15856
Hmmm, I looked at the pics of the instructions, and it's all very loose English. Anyone care to explain it to me? | |

| Well, apparently Sony doesn't sell GoW PSP bundles anymore despite advertising it on the site. Oh well, with my clever eBay skillz, I found a "mint condition" used GoW PSP pack, with the packaging. And if it's not good, they have a 30 day Return Policy for a full money back refund. Seller has like 98% feedback, so I got that. It's retail price at 199, but it's free shipping and no sales tax (which would be 12 dollars where I live) so it's actually a bit cheaper. The pics show a nice condition, can't really tell through the plastic box, but looks really good condition, and it looks like the GoW game and Superbad UMD are both there, so I'm excited. 2-7 day delivery, about 1 day to ship, so I can expect it in a week at most. As for the Pandora, I probably won't need to get anything from dealextreme. You see, I hacked a friend's PSP a while back, and I might be able to borrow his PSP and make me a Pandora Set. | |

| lol, I think I can get hold of a hacked PSP this weekend. I'll pandora it, and test out Rain's MMS Installer for my guide. Then, I'll get the GoW PSP (expected to arrive Monday) and test out PSPTool for my guide. | |

| Yeah, I just got hold of the hacked PSP. Made a MMS and Pandora using PSP Tool. Very nice and easy, now I just have to update to -6. So, I'm back, and I've got my PSP! | |

| Oh, that sucks. I've been looking for a cheaper alternative to Mem Sticks. Such as a Micro SD card with adaptor. | |

| Yes, I know. I said that's what I was going to do. I also have done it now, and I got my GoW PSP from eBay and installed 3.90 M33-3. I have my reasons for choosing 3.90. Anyway, it's all good to go. | |
